1,2,3 star courses run during the first half of the autumn term and during the summer term. The 4 star courses usually runs as part of the CCF program during Friday afternoons culminating in a weekend trio to the river Tryweryn in north Wales. A number of 6th form students undergo level 2 coach training and help out as assistant instructors on the 1,2,3 star courses. The club runs canoe safety and first aid as part of the training program. The club is grateful to Daniel Owen and Tom Klampfer (both level 4 kayak coaches) and the Haven Banks Outdoor Activities Centre for their help in running the courses.
